It disappeared after a while. There was one shop that sold it and they stopped.
I have a humourous story about this. I did some work for a very religious Jewish guy. Pious, proper and gentle. I went to go see him with this bottle. I said "Tell me Jack, what is an impolite Afrikaans word for nothing." He looked at me and started half mouthing something. I said "It's Fokol." and gave him the bottle.
A few hours later he phoned me and wanted to know where he could get more.
Not sure what Ostendo was but they've disappeared.
Time to renew this legacy.

A while ago I came across a red wine called Fókól. This wine has become my calling card - I first test drove it at the ATKV a year ago. I was recently there and I see my good friend Schalk Cilliers still has his bottle. The think I love about the wine is that there is no English on the bottle at all - everything is in Afrikaans. It's certainly not drinking wine but it goes down a storm.
The label on the back has the following words of wisdom.
Thanks to Ostendo for transcribing these kind words.
And if you want me to do some work for you I'll throw in a bottle.
